Creation of technical documentation devoted to suspension of fiber-optic cable on 743 km of existing and newly modeled 330 and 500 kV power transmission lines Volgodonskaya nuclear power plant – Nevinnomissk with derivation to 330 kV power lines. The documentation was created taking into account the conditions of ice melting.

Airborne LiDAR survey of about 10,000 km of power transmission lines in Australia. The purpose of the three-year contract is to assess the power lines rating. Among the deliverables:  feature coded LiDAR data, PLS-CADD models of the lines including substations, high-resolution orthophoto, engineering analyses aimed at increasing power line transmitting capacity.

Survey of 5500 kms of high-voltage transmission lines for rating analysis and system-wide uprating study. Deliverables are rating reports identifying low and potentially low spans at maximum operating temperature, and engineering reports indicating system-wide uprating solutions. Identification of low spans required calculation of conductors’ temperature applying CIGRE methodology and using meteo data collected in the field. Other deliverables include feature-coded LIDAR data, vegetation infringements reports, PLS-CADD models, and high-resolution orthophoto.

Implementation of airborne LiDAR data collection within the framework of survey of 2100 km of power transmission lines. Deliverables consist of feature coded LiDAR data, PLS-CADD models of the lines including substations, high-resolution orthophoto, danger tree analysis, vegetation infringement data as well as information necessary for defining the position of marker bolts. During the survey the Aircraft Integrated Meteorological Measurement System (AIMMS-20) was used on a separate aircraft to define up-to-the-second knowledge of prevailing wind conditions.
