We employ a special technique of surveying distributed infrastructure objects such as existing and planned power transmission lines, railways, highways, and pipelines. The company was founded in 1993 and first served power industry as turnkey developer of fiber optic telecommunication lines installed on existing overhead power lines. As early as in 1996 OPTEN started to employ extensively Optech ALTM laser survey system for aerial surveys, long before this technique was commonly recognized and widely used. Today OPTEN owns and operates several Optech ALTMs both in Russia and internationally. The expertise of OPTEN in airborne LiDAR surveys is recognized in many countries all over the world. With more than 70,000 km of “corridor-type” surveys in total, over 40,000 km of power transmission circuits among them, OPTEN ranks among the leaders of the industry.
