At OPTEN we dedicate our efforts to airborne LiDAR surveys in various fields – route and terrain, as well as surveys, design and construction of fiber optic communication lines. We employ a special technique of surveying distributed infrastructure objects such as existing and planned power transmission lines, railways, highways, and pipelines. The company was founded in 1993 and first served power industry as turnkey developer of fiber optic telecommunication lines installed on existing overhead power lines. As early as in 1996 OPTEN started to employ extensively Optech ALTM laser survey system for aerial surveys, long before this technique was commonly recognized and widely used. Today OPTEN owns and operates several Optech ALTMs both in Russia and internationally. The expertise of OPTEN in airborne LiDAR surveys is recognized in many countries all over the world. With more than 70,000 km of “corridor-type” surveys in total, over 40,000 km of power transmission circuits among them, OPTEN ranks among the leaders of the industry. Being an engineering company OPTEN is always focused on industry specific products, which differentiates us from other LiDAR survey companies. We deliver the final product in the format of Client’s standard documentation and provide complete engineering solutions including a specialized information system for storage, management and interactive exchange of newly acquired survey data. OPTEN is always flexible providing the tailored products and solutions taking into account the special requirements of the Clients. OPTEN is ISO 9001:2000 certified by IQNet and was the first in the industry to receive 9001 certification for LiDAR surveys. Our personnel are highly experienced in engineering and remote sensing. 95% from over 100 of our employees are graduated engineers, 10% are at the PhD level. |
